Structural reports

A Structural Report is often called an "Engineers Report" or "Structural Engineers Report". It is important to note that structural reports are not the same as a "Structural Survey" or "Surveyors Report" which tend to be carried out by a Building Surveyor and will typically deal with the services to and from a building (water, drainage, electricity etc) together with an assessment of the condition of the roof, walls and other fabric of the building. A "Structural Survey" may recommend a Structural Report.

It is therefore essential to be clear on what type of report is required to ensure the appropriate recommendations are given. There are typically three types of structural inspections and these are described below:
